Local Admin Alert

We are working out the bugs for our limited play.  A little glitch.... some players are arriving late.  The host is hesitant to give the slot to a walk on player because they don't know if the player is going to show up.  So.. another little rule... If you are more than 15 minutes late, your slot will be available for a walk on player.

Attention Punch card holders:  We are converting the current punch card count to a physical punch card.  If you have not yet received a physical punch card, talk with your host at your next open play session.  Cost continues to be $10 - 12 plays.  Please make sure to bring your card for each play.  Otherwise, you will be charged for that play.  A special thank you to Stacey who has been providing plastic sleeves for the punch cards.  It makes it quite easy to attach to your pickleball bag.

Some players recommended we offer sessions of 3 hours.  In our attempt to offer a variety of play opportunities, KPC is now offering 3 hour sessions on Monday and Fridays.  9:00am - 12:00 pm.  Sign up on Playtime Scheduler, starting on Monday, October 20th.  The cost will be $2 or 2 punches on your punchcard.

Kingman Pickleball Club - Limited Play -  These are sessions that are limited to a certain level of play and a certain number of players.  Just a few reminders:  1) please make sure to sign up on Playtime Scheduler.  If there are 5 players on the waitlist, we'll try to get another court.   2) only sign up for one session.  3) If you are signed up on Playtime Scheduler and need to cancel, please remove your name.  This allows for another player to take your spot.  4) Walk ons are welcome if the limit has not been met.

We have received favorable feedback concerning the "Limited Play" sessions.   Everyone has had lots of playing time and with double the sessions, many more players have been able to enjoy the game.

Thank you all for being the best club ever!!

Attention KPC members:  Our group continues to grow and we are finding that there are times during the week that are very popular for open play.  Requests were made from members during our last meeting to limit play during those times so everyone has plenty of opportunity for play.  We listened to our members and formed a scheduling committee to review this issue.  The committee met and introduced a schedule that we believe will meet the following criteria:  1) provide ample play opportunity for multiple levels of players and  2) ensure all players are able to play during popular playing times.   We will switch level sessions each week so that everyone has a chance to play during all time frames. Please pay attention to Playtime Scheduler as the schedule for these popular times (specifically Saturday and Sunday mornings and Monday and Thursday evenings) will be posted.

Maximum number of players will be included, however there will be a waitlist available.  We ask the following:

  1. Every player must sign up  on Playtime Scheduler (no guests)
  2. Only players that have signed up will be able to play.  The only exception is if the maximum count has not been met.  In that event, a drop in player will be permitted to play.
  3. If you are intending to cancel, please make sure to take your name off Playtime Scheduler.  This allows for anyone on the waitlist to move up.
  4. Only sign up on one session for that day.
  5. With this new scheduling, we will adhere to the rotation (2 on 2 off, everyone playing 2 games before exiting the courts, except for 1st game of the session)
  6. Lastly, we believe the 20-20-60 rule is a really great playing guide.  This means you play 20% of the time with lower level players, 20% of the time with higher level players and 60% of the time with individuals with similar level of play.  As you can see, the majority of our players are in the 3.25 range.  Some may be on the lower level of that range, some on the higher level of that range, thus why we have included that level in both sessions.  It is truly up to you as a player to decide which session to sign up on.

There will be some bumps in the road as we work through any issues.  Please be patient with this scheduling.  We are working very hard to ensure everyone has maximum playing time.  And… thank you for your great suggestions.  We are hearing you!

You asked for them and Coach Robert listened.  He has added 5 additional sessions each week of his "Training with a Pro Series" beginning September 16th.  (This week Coach Robert isn't available on Monday).  2 sessions will be available Monday-Friday.  Choose from either 9 - 11 am or 11:30 am - 1:30 pm.  These sessions are limited to 5 participants per session for only $20. These sessions fill up quickly, so sign up on Playtime Scheduler soon!  All levels welcome.  Sessions provided at Sharon's indoor Pickleball Palace.

FYI:  If an open play session scheduled for Centennial Park does not have at least (4) players signed up prior to play, that session will be canceled.  As a courtesy, please sign up if you plan to attend.

Beginning June 29, 2025 (Sunday), KPC will be offering just (1) session for each open play (90 minutes).  The weather is really heating up and it is becoming increasing more uncomfortable.  With that said, the fee for the morning sessions will drop to $1.00.  This is how we will address our Punch Card Holders:

1) On June 29, 2025, punchcard holders will have their count doubled.  (i.e., if you have 5 punches left, it will now reflect 10).

2) When participating in open play in the morning session (7:00-8:30am M-F and 8:00-9:30 am S/Sun) you will be deducted (1) punch.

3) When participating in open play in the evening session (M / Th) you will be deducted (2) punches.

4) Evenings continue to be $2.00 for the session as night time play is more expensive for court rental.

5) In the event a group wants to play past the schedule time, there are two options.... a) the group pays for an additional time frame for the court, b) the club pays for the court and everyone who wants to stay will contribute an additional punch or pay an additional $1.00.

6) June 29th and after, Punchcards will be sold for $10.00 and these cards will be worth 12 punches.

Please contact one of the hosts if you have any questions.

The Mohave County Fairgrounds is now open for play.  Follow Playtime Scheduler to see when courts are available.  $3.00 fee to be paid at the Fairground office.

Just a reminder... Membership dues($15.00) are due by July 1, 2025.  This is the start of our new pickleball season.  Dues can be paid online through our KPC website.

KPC is now offering a new service.  Members can purchase a punchcard via our online website.  These punchcards provide 12 open play opportunities (meaning you receive 2 open play opportunities for $10.00 and 24 open play opportunities for $20.00).  There is a small fee of ($0.74) for each purchase.

It was determined during our September Board Meeting for Kingman Pickleball Club that KPC sponsored open play fees would remain $2.00 for members of KPC for night time use and $1.00 for day time use.   Nonmember fees for open play will now be $5.00, effective Monday, September 9, 2024.   First time guests are invited to play for free.
