Configuring Round Robin Options

This document explains the available options for the basic Round Robin formats (Social Mixer, Singles, and Fixed Doubles).

Step 1: Open the Round Robin Generator

From your session window, click the Round Robin (RR) button.

Step 3: Review and Adjust Court Numbers

The system estimates how many courts you need based on player count. Adjust the specific court numbers and range, if needed.

If your court numbers are non-consecutive (for example, courts 1, 3, and 5), click this link and type in the numbers, separated by commas.

Step 4: Select the Number of Rounds

The system will provide a recommended number of rounds based on maximum variety and fairness, but you can select a different number from the dropdown. Click Next to proceed.

Step 5: View the Generated Schedule

The system generates the schedule. Scroll through to see all the rounds and matches. Each match has a place to record the score, and the Scoreboard will automatically update as you progress.

Step 1: Manually Create Teams

Use the team selection screen to manually build teams. Click on a player, then click on their partner to form a team. Continue pairing in this way. Newly formed teams appear in green boxes below the player list.

Step 2: Use Auto-Pair Methods

There are four different Auto-Pair buttons:

  1. Random – Randomized pairing of all players.
  2. Skill – Attempts to balance teams by pairing higher-skill players with lower-skill players, which is helpful when your session contains a wide range of skill levels.
  3. Mixed Doubles – Attempts to create male–female pairings. If some players have unknown gender, or there is an uneven number of each gender, it will pair those with known gender first, then fill remaining teams randomly.
  4. With Guests – Automatically pairs attendees with their guests.

You can still edit teams manually after clicking an auto-pair button. If you do not like a pairing, remove that team by clicking the "X", then reassign to new partners.

Step 3: Enter Court Numbers and Rounds

Once you are satisfied with how the teams look, proceed to the final screen to configure court numbers and number of rounds.
