Indoor play at HCPRD gyms is limited later this month per their schedules. No session listed means no play.
I have had a few questions about INVITE only sessions. Why so many recently? Can I still show up and play? The "why" is mostly because more core groups of any kind and higher skill players want to control who they play with and against. IMO, the message for INVITE ONLY is clear. Do NOT just show up and expect to be included in games with the invited players. The group can hold outdoor public court(s) for 60 minutes or 90 minutes for HCPRD venues and at Mills River Town Park. City of Hendersonville policy at Patton Park is OPEN PLAY when courts are full. During open play all players are to use paddle boxes for rotation queue. Anyone can show up and add a paddle and wait to rotate on. You should anticipate the INVITE players will stack their paddles together to keep playing with each other. That is their option. You are welcome to introduce yourself and ask about being added to the invitation list.

This is a friendly reminder regarding the time limit for group postings on Playtime Scheduler. The Asheville Park and Recreation Department has requested that all group sessions be capped at a maximum of two hours. We encourage you to review the rule signs posted at the park entrance for further information.
The Asheville Pickleball Association, in partnership with the Asheville Park and Recreation Department, is pleased to announce that players will no longer need to bring their own nets to play at Murphy Oakley Park, Weaver Park, and Malvern Hills Park. Special thanks to all our dedicated members and volunteers for their contributions.
