PlayTime Premium: Tips & Tricks

Each month we'll feature tips and tricks for Premium Users to get the most out of their subscriptions. Not yet a Premium or Power User? Click here to learn more.

Skill Levels & Block Lists

Pickleball can be tons of fun when players of all levels mix and mingle on the court. It's a social game, after all, and what better way to meet new people while helping each other improve? If you're more the competitive type, it can be even more fun to play with four players of the same level. PlayTime Scheduler gives you plenty of options for creating your perfect pickleball scenario.

All users have the ability to set a minimum and maximum skill level for their play sessions. If someone outside of that range attempts to sign up, they will receive a warning message — but will still be allowed to join if they choose.

Premium and Power Users get some additional options. They can choose to block these players from signing up, rather than just warning them. Or, they can opt to have the public session display as invite-only session to players of the wrong level. Certain session details, including player names, will be hidden, and they will not be able to add their name.

Occasionally, you may notice that a player of the wrong skill level has signed up for your session, even though you've chosen to block. This can happen when a player edits their skill level in their profile after signing up. Note that the system will never automatically kick someone out of a session due to a rating change. As a Power User, if you're concerned about a player's level change, you can send them a private message by clicking the email icon next to their name. Or, manually remove the signup by clicking the X icon. The system will notify that user that they have been removed from the session.

Another exclusive Power User feature is the ability to create a Block List for a session. If there are certain unsavory characters in your region that you would prefer not attend your sessions, you can add them to the Block List. The session will be completely invisible to these players. Coming soon is the ability to save, edit, and re-use Block Lists, similar to Invite Lists. We hope to release some major upgrades to the Invite/Block List features by the end of the year.
