With Father's Day just around the corner, of course it has me thinking about my dad.

He's always been encouraging and has taught me so many things over the years. He's a whiz on the computer, an excellent guitar player, and was even a local soccer star back in the day.

Of course, I had to introduce him to pickleball. We played exactly one time.

In hindsight, we probably should have started with doubles instead of trying to cover an entire court playing singles. Let's just say one of us got a little too ambitious chasing down a ball and ended up taking a dive across the court... chin first.

While he hasn't stepped foot on a pickleball court since, he still keeps his chin up these days.

So next weekend, if you're looking for something fun to do with Dad, how about a game of pickleball? Better yet, plan a whole Round Robin focused around dads.

Maybe we'll see you on the courts... or maybe I'll just take mine to the pub.
