When Mary from the Barefoot Bay Pickleball Club in Florida's Treasure Coast region learned that Meals on Wheels had lost funding for a second daily “cold meal,” she knew something had to be done. The extra deliveries were being eliminated, meaning volunteers would need to hand-make sandwiches three days a week — but they needed additional support to keep the effort going.

Using PlayTime Scheduler to connect her regular Monday 1 p.m. group, Mary helped launch a simple but powerful plan: players were invited to make a voluntary $1 weekly donation to support the cause. 

What started as a small idea has quickly become a meaningful community effort, with players showing up not just to play — but to give back. Thanks to Mary for leading the charge, and to the entire Barefoot Bay Pickleball crew for rallying together to make a real difference in their community.
