This week’s standout courts come from Oak Valley Pickleball Park in Wonju, South Korea — our newest country on PlayTime Scheduler and home to some of the most vibrant, photogenic pickleball surfaces we’ve ever seen.

Much of the park’s growing momentum comes from Pickleball Manager and PTS Admin, Jisoo Hwang, who has played a key role in building community and expanding access to the sport in Korea.

Here’s what Jisoo shared with us about pickleball’s rise across the country:

“Pickleball is growing faster in South Korea, especially in major cities like Seoul, Busan, and Cheong-ju. It started as a small group of curious beginners a few years ago but has now evolved into a vibrant and enthusiastic community. Courts are filling up early in the morning, clubs are forming in nearly every district, and many new players are discovering how fun and welcoming the sport can be.

One of the most exciting parts of pickleball in Korea is how quickly people connect across ages and skill levels. Beginners can easily find friendly rec games, while more advanced players are forming competitive groups and traveling to national tournaments.
