PlayTime Scheduler Tips & Tricks:
Creating DUPR Sessions (Updated!)
Earlier this year we integrated with DUPR, allowing you to connect your accounts and set up DUPR-rated play sessions on PTS. Based on your feedback, we’ve made a few changes to this feature over the past few months. Read on for the updated instructions.
To get started using DUPR with PlayTime Scheduler, first visit My Account and click the "Connect with DUPR" button. Log in to your DUPR account, and check the box to authorize PlayTime Scheduler to access your ratings. As your DUPR changes over time, we’ll automatically update your profile.
When creating a new session using DUPR, the skill levels now go in 0.1 increments rather than the traditional .25 increments used for self-ratings. This allows you to fine-tune your sessions more than ever before. We also recently added an additional checkbox for “Exclude Provisional DUPR Ratings.” A Provisional Rating is a new kind of rating that is obtained from skill evaluation by a DUPR-certified coach, rather than from match results. You can read more about Provisional Ratings here.
As with all sessions created by Free Users, the default behavior when a player of the wrong skill rating adds their name is “warn, but allow.” This now applies to DUPR sessions as well. If someone does not have a DUPR rating, or has a rating that falls outside your desired range, they will still be able to join your session but will receive a warning. If you do not want players without a qualifying rating to sign up, then you’ll need to upgrade to Power User to unlock the two additional options — “block” or “show as invite-only session."
On the main calendar page, DUPR sessions will be labeled as such on the bubble. Your calendar filters and notification preferences will adjust based on the rating system used for each session. You will not be notified of new DUPR sessions until you’ve connected your accounts.
Power Users have the option to print or export their session’s signup list with players' DUPR IDs included, making match submission that much easier.
