PlayTime Scheduler hit the theater this month, and wow… what a treat! Pickleball, written by Jeff Daniels (yes, the same Jeff Daniels from Dumb and Dumber), is a laugh-out-loud comedy packed with pickleball puns, quirky characters, and plenty of heart.

The Placer Community Theater cast absolutely nailed it — we were laughing the whole way through. The play follows six small-town players chasing glory in a not-so-serious tournament, and the mix of obsession, rivalry, and redemption had us grinning from start to finish.

If you’re in the Sacramento area, it’s definitely worth the drive up to Auburn. They’ve only got one weekend of shows left, so don’t wait to grab your tickets!

Pickleball also had a successful run in Michigan, and I have a feeling more theaters will be picking it up. Keep an eye out — hopefully it’ll be bouncing to a stage near you soon.

Silly, fun, and a whole lot of pickleball nonsense — what more could you ask for?
