PlayTime Scheduler Tips & Tricks:
Skill Levels and Block Lists
Pickleball is all about fun, friends, and improving together. It’s a social game, and mixing skill levels can be a great way to meet new people. But for competitive players, it can be even more fun to keep everyone at the same level. PlayTime Scheduler gives you the tools to shape your perfect play session.
All users can set a minimum and maximum skill level for their sessions, using the rating system of their choice—Self-Ratings, UTR-P, or DUPR. Players outside the selected range will receive a warning message, but can still choose to join.
Premium and Power Users unlock extra control. You can:
- Block players outside the selected range from signing up.
- Display your public session as invite-only to those outside the range.
- Hide session details like player names from those blocked.
For UTR-P and DUPR sessions, players must link their PTS account to sync their live rating before signing up.
Sometimes, you might notice a player outside your range who still managed to join. This can happen if they change their skill level after signing up. The system won’t auto-remove them. If needed, you can:
- Message them privately by clicking the message icon.
- Manually remove them (Power Users only) by clicking the X next to their name. They’ll be notified.
Another Power User tool: the Block List. You can hide your session from specific players completely. Save, edit, and reuse these lists just like other player lists.
Hosting a casual, all-inclusive game? Power Users can also choose to hide player skill levels entirely. Combine this with a 2.0–5.0 session to send a clear message: "All are welcome."
