‘Twas the week before Picklemas, 

and on every court,
Pickleballers were gathering 

for their favorite sport.
With paddles in hand 

and their dinks looking fine,
They served up some holiday cheer 

in no time!

The nets were all strung 

with precision and care,
In hopes that a perfect rally 

would soon be there.
The players in layers 

to fend off the cold,
Warmed up their swings, 

both the young and the old.

When out on the baseline, 

there arose such a clatter,
I dashed to the kitchen 

to see what was the matter.
It was Santa himself, 

with his paddle so slick,
Playing doubles with Rudolph – 

oh boy, what a trick!

“On Forehand! On Backhand! 

On Lob and Topspin!
Let’s rally some joy 

before the snow rolls in!”
He smashed and he volleyed, 

his game quite robust,
With Rudolph’s quick hoofwork 

a move you could trust.

The crowd cheered with glee 

as the pickleballs flew,
Each point Santa scored 

made the excitement renew.
He laughed, “This is better 

than toys in a sack!
Let’s play one more round 

before I head back!”

So if you’re on the courts 

this holiday season,
Spread pickleball cheer – 

it’s the best kind of reason.
And remember, like Santa, 

keep your dinks nice and tight,
Merry Picklemas to all, 

and to all a good night!
