The USA Pickleball National Championships took place from November 9th to 17th in Mesa, Arizona, bringing together incredible players from across the country. While I wasn’t competing, I had an amazing time soaking up the energy from the sidelines. The event was packed with action, featuring matches at every skill level and age group. It was inspiring to see so many dedicated players give it their all, especially our own Reine Steel and her doubles partners, Marcela and Jesse! The ladies battled their way to a bronze medal in their category, and Marcela went on to claim gold in her singles category – what an incredible achievement!

The Sacramento area was well-represented, and cheering them on was such a highlight! With crisp mornings and sunny afternoons, Mesa provided the perfect setting for the tournament. The event was flawlessly run by USA Pickleball and UTR Sports, and even those who couldn’t attend in person could live-stream the action from anywhere. A huge shoutout to everyone involved in making Nationals such a memorable experience – I’m already counting down to next year! YEET!
