Community Hero: Bill Dunn, Regional Admin

Hill Country, Texas was one of our very first regions. They have over 530 users and average 30-40 play sessions a week. Recently, Bill volunteered to also serve as the regional admin for the new region of Meadowlakes, Texas, which is gearing up to be a very active pickleball community. We asked Bill a few questions about being the regional admin for Hill Country.

How long have you been playing pickleball?

I discovered pickleball while on an RV trip in Ruidoso, New Mexico, 11 years ago.

When did you first join PlayTime Scheduler as a regional admin?
I became a regional admin about 4 years ago.

How would you describe your local pickleball community?

The Hill Country of Texas is made up of many small communities like Horseshoe Bay which started out as a resort and grew into a city, and as with most pickleball communities, we have a very diverse group of players.

What advice would you give to a new region considering setting up PlayTime Scheduler?

Don’t create a region that’s too large. If you have too many locations in your region it tends to clutter Playtime Scheduler's dashboard which makes it harder to find sessions you may want to join.
