PlayTime Scheduler Tips & Tricks: Mixed Doubles Sessions

If you have ever tried to organize a day of mixed doubles, you know it can be tricky getting a perfectly even mix of men and women – unless you're using PlayTime Scheduler! Power Users have access to what we think is one of the coolest features of the site – the “Equal Mix” gender option.

When selecting this option for your session, players must have their gender selected in their profile, and indicate the gender of any guests (if allowed).

The site automatically keeps track of the total number of men and women currently signed up. Only half of the maximum number of players may be of the same gender. After that, additional players of that gender will go on the wait list (if activated). If a player drops out, the first player on the wait list of that gender will automatically be bumped up to fill in the space.

Example:  If you create a mixed doubles session for 8 players, the first 4 women who sign up will be on the play list. If additional women sign up, they will go on the wait list, even if the session has not reached its maximum number of players (men can still sign up, until there are 4 men). If a woman on the play list drops out, the first woman on the wait list will be bumped up and notified.
