All About Wait Lists

Special events like clinics or round robins often require a precise number of players. Along with setting a minimum and maximum number of players, Power Users also have the ability to create automated wait lists, helping ensure a perfect number of players every time.

After a session reaches its maximum, additional players who sign up will be alerted that they have been placed on the wait list. If anyone on the playlist later drops out, the list will automatically re-shuffle, with the first player on the wait list being bumped up. They will instantly receive an email notification – "Congrats, you’re in!" As creator of the session, you can choose whether or not to receive notifications whenever someone is moved off the wait list on to the play list. (You'll find this setting under My Account > Emails.)

In the case of "equal mix" gender sessions (MXD play), the first player on the wait list of the same gender as the player who dropped out will be automatically bumped up to fill his or her spot.

Guests are not allowed on wait lists. Once a session is full, if a player tries to add a guest under their name, the system will prevent them from doing so. (This would unfairly bump everyone underneath them down a spot even though they signed up first.)

Automated wait lists are a huge time saver when planning an event, and allow for instant notification of playlist changes, giving organizers piece of mind that their event will have the right number of players, even if there are last minute dropouts.
