Last month, the pickleball community in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, held a three-day tournament focused on pickleball, fun, and supporting their local club.

Players started the weekend with a Social Paddle Rack and King and Queen of the Court — relaxed formats that kept things fun rather than overly competitive. There were also raffle prizes, food vendors, music, and plenty happening around the courts.

Nearly everything was run by volunteers, with proceeds helping the local pickleball club work toward becoming an LLC. This will help the club continue promoting pickleball throughout the region and provide a place for players of all levels to learn and play.

PlayTime Scheduler also helps keep this community organized! Pickup games, private groups, and organized play are all coordinated through PTS. When the tournament dates were added to the Scheduler, local players could easily see that the courts were reserved and plan accordingly.

We love seeing PlayTime Scheduler being used to help local pickleball communities grow. Way to go, Cedar Rapids! 👏
